Gearbox Tuning
Increased Shift Response, Torque Limiter Modifications and RPM Limiter Adjustments
Our custom written gearbox transmission upgrades are designed to improve gearbox shift speed, response and smoothness. This tuning option can include launch control, shift and torque limiter functions and setting adjustments to give the driver the best possible driving experience.
Increased Shift Response Shift response can be improved by up to 20% and paddle-reaction-time by up to 40% (in Sport mode) which provides a smoother gear to gear transition reduces clutch slip under full acceleration and helps protect the clutch from premature failure.
Torque Limiter Modifications Through the gearbox control unit tuning we release the extra torque produced from your engine whilst ensuring the safe performance of all mechanical moving hardware within the gearbox transmission.
RPM Limiter Adjustments The gearbox tcu has control of RPM limiters for each gear. Increasing these shift points gives the driver further control and command of the engines power in the upper RPM ranges.
Our Rolling Road
Our high tech modern four wheel drive rolling road is located at our workshop, we use the VTech dynamometer that was designed by tuners, for tuners. The rolling road incorporates some unique features such as full data logging, this feature allows us to plot all current data and PID points on to your rolling road chart to assist with the tuning.
As part of our rolling road tuning services you are presented with an HD Dyno chart print out. We always include the wheel power, flywheel power, losses and torque proving the accuracy of the runs. Unlike many rolling roads our actually measures the transmission losses rather than calculating them to give you a accurate flywheel horse power figure.
Our 4x4 dyno has mechanical synchronisation of front and rear axles, which gives the possibility for measuring the most modern cars, equipped with active traction control systems and will not cause damage to modern 4x4 systems such as BMW's XDrive.
Tuning
Our car tuning maps are proven reliable, powerful and effective. We believe every vehicle where possible should be custom tuned on our four wheel drive linked rolling road to achieve the perfect calibration.
Before and tuning work commences your car is put on our rolling road, full diagnostics carried out and data logs taken to establish the health of the vehicle. DPF regeneration and minor adaptions are all carried out before tuning where required at no additional cost.
Stage 1 Tuning
This is designed for unmodified cars without any hardware upgrades. Stage 1 tuning gives great performance gains, good fuel economy and a more pleasant drive. All emissions systems are left as factory and will not interfere with your annual MOT. This level of tuning typically takes one to two hours to complete.
Stage 2 Tuning
Similar to Stage 1 tuning but additional power is unleased using minor upgrades such as induction kits, intercoolers, sports cats and decats.
Stage 3 Tuning
This level of tuning requires numerous hardware upgrades above Stage 2 and normally includes uprated turbo chargers, supercharger pullys, injectors and fuel pumps
